The hotel service and staff was very nice. They offered me and my wife a welcome drink when we arrived and they helped us with the luggage. The location is quite central, just 10 min away from the main plaza and about 20-30 min of walking away from the train station. The room was big and clean and the bathroom was modern, but the thing that made me didn't like the room that much, was the fact that it was very dark inside and from the window I was able to only see the scaffolding and the construction work. I know that Florence is a touristy city, but 150 Euro per night for a dark room felt a little too much. In conclusion, I can recommend this hotel, but only when they have rooms available for a lower rate. On the top of the building they have a very nice bar and restaurant which is amazing and it's definitely worth visiting. Everything about this dinner was so perfect that I don't think my words can describe the experience. The place has an amazing view over Florence, the service was top of the line and the food was among the best I had during my travel experience so far. I would definitely come back, next time when I will visit Florence.

Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent location between Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Pitti. Comfortable rooms, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. It's on the top floor of the building, which is quite common with traditional Florentine hotels, so I'd recommend that you take the lift (quite small, which again is quite frequent with old Florentine buildings). The restaurant is excellent, with a choice of two terraces - one overlooking Palazzo Pitti and the other overlooking Florence, with the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio and Santa Croce. The food is definitely interesting. I'd recommend that you try it on at least one night of your stay. I just hope the brilliant 'reopening' prices continue for a little longer, and that I don't have to pay two or three times the price the next time that I go. I would definitely return.

Highly reccomended. First stay back here since the renovations. Junior suite was awesome. Huge, modern and clean. Staff are friendly, housekeeping excellent. A terrific location a short walk from the Ponte Vecchio feeding you into main parts of Florence. Even better, on this side of the river away from tourist packs. Short walk to San Spirito Piazza and heaps of awesome food.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. My favourite hotel in one of the most beautiful and clean cities so far on our Euro trip. Incredibly helpful and efficient service by all the lovely staff, beautiful room, stunning views from the rooftop bar and restaurant and delicious food / breakfast. Parking was easy with vallet parking for 30 euros (cheaper for standard / smaller vehicles). All round fantastic value and I hope I can come back here again.

Great hotel. Great location. Large modern rooms with all mod cons. Our room was facing a private court yard, and was very quiet. So convenient for all the usual tourist traps in Florence. The hotel has a lovely roof terrace with nice views. The only minor was having to climb a lot of stairs to reception (97 to be precise) although there is a very small lift (2 persons max.). We enjoyed our stay and if we return to Florence we will stay here again.

First time in Italy. My wife booked la scaletta and we loved it. The Italian breakfast was charming as was the rooftop restaurant. Great views of The city day and especially at night. Pleasant staff and beautiful historic building. Lots of stairs and a vintage tiny elevator made it more interesting for us. Whiners and Complainers might want to choose a holiday inn. That will make It easier for us to book next time.

What a wonderful hotel. The rooftop that sits about 4 tables was one of the most breathtaking views of the city. Staff was great and the room we selected felt so rustic. Really close to pretty much anything in the town and great starting point for runs throughout the city. I'd recommend to any runners to start early and you see a side of pure beauty.
