We had a booking in Diplomat hotel but were allocated a room in Ambasciatori hotel. As both the hotels are of C-group it din't matter to us. The hotel is located exactly opposite the Santa Maria Novella station so it was very convenient for us. The rooms, services, breakfast everything was exceptionally good. The staff was very polite. Would surely recommend everyone to be their guest atleast once.

For the value, you can't beat this hotel. The room was small, so if that's something you value a lot this might not be the place for you. However, we did not spend a lot of time in the hotel so this wasn't a big deal. There is also a metro stop right outside of the room, so if you are there in the fall like we were and you want to have your window open be prepared for that as well. These two small negatives could not outweigh the great price we got, the good location and the friendly staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Florence.

We came into the city late afternoon and were thankful the hotel had a room available (late December 2021). The room was great and even had a small balcony. Roomy shower, large bed, clean spacious room. Hotel right across from the train station. Friendly staff. Elevator. Breakfast available. We appreciated the ability to leave our luggage at the hotel after check-out so we could explore the city for the day.

Myself and my friend stayed at the hotel recently and I can honestly say it was nothing short of excellent. I rarely write reviews about places, however looking at some of the other reviews, I am shocked there are a handful of people who didn’t enjoy their stay. Everything about the hotel was fantastic. The staff we polite and helpful, particularly the bar man who went above and beyond and was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was compact but perfect for a weekend away. It was clean and tidy and the bed was so comfortable! Breakfast was lovely and again the staff went above and beyond to help. I was also very impressed with the measures taken to protect guests against covid. The location is fantastic with the tram stop directly outside and lots of key sights within walking distance. I have already recommended this hotel to other friends visiting Florence and will continue to do so. I am also planning another trip of my own to Florence and I will 100% be staying in this hotel again.
