I was in Florence for a week with 5 members of my family from 11 to 17 March. We reserved at the Hotel Duomo with breakfast. We loved it! The rooms were clean, the staff was very helpful, friendly and pleasant and the breakfast was awesome! The breakfast included scrambled eggs, pancakes, a variety of fruit, yogurt, pastries, cold cuts, cheese etc - a great way to start the day. Location, Location, Location! Yes, the location is perfect and it is in a pedestrian zone (so no cars). I was in my room the first evening and all of a sudden I heard Ave Maria being played on a violin.I went outside and listened to a young man playing his violin in the Piazza del Duomo. What a setting! The hotel is centrally located and most places are no more than a 5 to 15 minute walk. I love Florence and will definitely stay at the Hotel Duomo the next time I visit.

Highly recommend choosing a room with a view! Looking out at the Duomo from our room was amazing. The room was on the small side but still had everything we needed. The bed was comfy, it was clean, and I loved the lotion they provided. The breakfast was pretty good, I loved the honeycomb. They also had gluten free bread!

In my oppinion it is hard to find a better location in firenze than this. In front of the dome and lovely stuff. We had the luck to have a balcony with dome View and that was awesome!!! The room was a little bit small, but that is addicted to the City. But the room was always clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed our Stay.

Top! We loved our stay here! Spent four nights here, the receptionists were all very kind and helpful, the room was very clean and daily they are making up the rooms too. They have mini bar too which they offer couple of bottles of water free of charge, the breakfast was amazing the gentleman working there was very kind and patient. And the view from the balcony is really something else! Thanks hotel duomo team you guys are fantastic! See you soon!

Very descriptive review ahead, and it covers their higher price Room 31! The staff is beyond wonderful, and the rooms are very clean. That alone deserves five stars. However, there are a lot of little things to be aware of. The hotel has a tiny two person elevator that you must take to get to their floor. The shower head jumps out of place and falls on you when the water abruptly stops - like when you turn off the water. The streets below you in Room 31 are LOUD, especially in the mornings. Expect to be woken up because you're in the most famous spot in Florence. The view from Room 31 does not let you see the street, but you sure hear it. We had lots of trouble with the Wi-Fi, but like I said, the staff are awesome.

Arriving in Florence by train the Hotel Duomo Firenze is just a short walk from the station and WOW do you get a treat for the eyes, as you get closer to the hotel, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore comes into view, it is beautiful and the hotel is situated right next to it. On entering the hotel you have the option of going up some stairs or alternatively using the lovely but very old and small lift which has the metal gate to enter, both lead to the reception area. Staff were friendly, you do have to leave your key with reception when you go out of the hotel. The room on entering was spacious and well lit, it had a large wardrobe and vanity table. Looking out of the window there was a great view of the Filippo Brunelleschi's dome, which is part of the cathedral. The bathroom was lovely and had a good shower although we had to put towels on the floor as the splash screen doesn't stop all the water from going on the floor. The hotel room was very quiet, apart from the odd time we heard someone above walking about. Great hotel also within walking distance of visiting Michelangelo's David which is just around the corner.
