Very nice grounds and the convenient, on-demand shuttle is great. You get picturesque views and fresh air but don't give up much in the way of convenience versus staying in the city center. The room was a little small, but it had character and was fine for nearly a weeks stay. Breakfast on-site, free happy hours, and reasonable room service also meant you didn't have to take the shuttle for a quick bite to eat.

Stayed 5 nights here and liked it so much we stayed another night! Was perfect for us because we had a rental car and there is free parking on site. Not only that, but the shuttle is a really great to get into Florence. Both shuttle stops are convenient to walking around Florence. Note that the shuttle stops service at 8pm, so if you plan on staying out late, you'll need to grab a taxi back. Usually cost 10-15 euros from Ponte Vecchio area. Grounds around the hotel are beautiful and you feel like you're in the country even though you're juuuust outside a major city. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Only thing I might note that we booked a suite for the first 5 nights. The room was spacious and comfortable. For the last night we switched to a standard room and it was much smaller and the quarters were much tighter. We were glad we booked a suite, so if you plan a longer stay, it might be worth it to pay a little extra for a larger room. Still a great stay all the way around!

The staff made the stay a beautiful experience. The pampering from them was great; great customer service. Employees go the extra mile to provide great service. We scheduled taxis daily since we were out and about all day most of our stay; staff coordinated that with the taxi company and to our surprise they packed our breakfast for us. The hotel provides free breakfast like many other hotels, but the staff packed it for us for the road; is not the price of the breakfast is the though that counts; one of may examples of great customer service. PLEASE NOTE THE HOTEL IS 20-30 MINUTES WALK TO DOWTOWN FLORENCE. THEY HAVE A SHUTTLE MOST OF THE DAY

Best part of Florence, old monastery, quiet, stylish, comfortable. 24 hr reception staff always ready to solve any issue beyond the warm welcome. The breakfast is truly heavenly. Take time for breakfast and make sure you check out the complete offering before making your selection. Take a walk in the garden before breakfast, maybe at sunrise. I did not have time to test the bar, but an inviting place for sure. Highly recommended
